About AoH

Art of Healing is a residency-based social impact initiative that revolves around three main GMNG components: education/conversations, research and compassionate care. Our senior creative advisor Dr. Ali Hussain will lead the project as the ‘scholar in residence’.

Education/Conversations

Weekly classes on the spiritual dimensions of the creative process will be held internationally at various ‘third spaces’ that cater to artists and professionals in different vocations. Monthly conversations will be recorded as podcasts. These conversations will explore the creative process and journeys of various artists of faith also outside the United States.

Research

Quarterly research papers will be published that address a theme on creativity at the intersection of science and faith in contemporary culture.

Conferences

Hold annual conference uniting healers and artists that will focus on serving the needs of vulnerable populations.

Creativity is the bridge between the seen and the unseen, the tangible and the ineffable

During phase 3 (December 2024 - January 2025), our focus will be on expanding our research and education as well as construct a narrative surrounding the new domain knowledge obtained during the first two stages.

During phase 4 (February 2025 - April 2025), our focus will be culminating this first year of our project in order to present our findings in a comprehensive vision and summary report.
